Episode #37: Physiotherapy meets Psychotherapy (what even is that?!) with Kit Wisdom

Today I spoke to Kit Wisdom at her 'clinic' (clinic doesn't do it justice!) called Wise Physiotherapy in Yarraville, Melbourne.

Kit is a physiotherapist trained in Hakomi, a Mindful Somatic Psychotherapy, with a Master’s in Wellbeing Science. Her approach integrates physical health with emotional and mental well-being, recognising how deeply they influence one another. Kit believes true well-being comes from seeing the whole picture and affirming our complexity. Grounded in presence, connection, and honesty, she guides people to tune into their body’s wisdom and explore how it shapes their experiences, fostering greater clarity and understanding.

Today was a very free-flowing chat, and I thoroughly enjoyed it. We spoke about lots of things, such as the role we have as physios in setting up a comfortable and inviting space for our clients, including the dynamic between us, typical roles we fall into and the problems this can create, checking in with yourself, slowing down, and so much more.
